Light pollution/Nightime environment
One of our favorite activities is to conduct research on topics dear to our profession. The following is a compendium we prepared from a myriad of thoughts and data already available on the topic of light pollution and the nighttime environment. Our work is a small addition to what has already been admirably accomplished by other colleagues. The result of our research work are two extraordinarily complex posters, the first devoted to the state of the art of light pollution, the second devoted to the sky, the stars and their visibility.
"What a horrible thing to do to us as species, to live in a permanent twilight and never be able to see the stars"
T. Longcore, Scientist
as you see much of the world experiences light pollution and is unable to see the starry vault in its entirety.
So, what can we do then to be able to see the stars again?
